Maddie’s Elephants

I always knew Erin Musto was a wonderful person…and I knew she was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.  What I didn’t know was the amazing depth of that love.  I mean ahhhhhh-mazing.  It’s been incredible to watch the community band together to help Erin and her amazing family through their unimaginable loss of sweet 5 1/2 year old Maddie Musto.

There have been so many wonderful fundraisers and I wish I could keep up with them all, but one that I’d like to share with you all now is Maddie’s Elephants.  There have been countless hours spent by wonderful people shaping, cutting, stuffing and sewing these adorable plush Elephants…not to mention the people who have donated all of the supplies, set up the website, and countless other behind the scenes jobs.  I was honored to be one of the first to get my hands on a few of these treasured elephants in order to snap some images of them for the site.

What an awesome idea for all of Maddie’s little friends who miss her so dearly…and for us adults too.  My girls treasure their “maddies” and take care of them unlike any other stuffed friend they own.   So if you haven’t already, head over to the site, buy yours, and help grow our herd.  100% of the proceeds are being put towards a Memorial Fund in Maddie’s name.

You can also join our herd here on Facebook too.  :)

And a HUGE thank you to Donna at Vintage Chic on Union Street in Schenectady for allowing me to use her ridiculously gorgeous decor as a backdrop to our sweet elephants.
