Baby Blues

These two little men were such a pleasure to meet and photograph!  As a mom to two girls, I just love photographing little boys and go gaga for little boys dressed like dapper little men…swoon!  Mom graduated from Emma Willard so it was a perfect choice for our session.  No matter how many times I visit there, the architecture never ceases to amaze me.  The amazing stonework and gorgeous wooden doors are a photographers dream backdrop.  Chase (big brother) was a little skeptical of this lady chasing him around with a camera, but warmed up in no time and we got super fun, adorable images!  Connor (little brother) greeted me with the biggest smile even while still stuffed in his car seat and I’m not sure it broke once during the session.   Thanks for a fun time guys…hope to see you again!

It’s that time again…

Yep, those be pumpkins you see. I can’t decide how I feel about it being fall already…but I do know I love orange, so it’s not all bad.

Eyes wide open

I am often greeted at the door by anxious new moms terrified their new love won’t sleep through our newborn session.   Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll let it speak for itself and simply say that I can promise you, an awake baby is nothing to fret about.  :)

Happy Birthday Averi!

What a FUN session with little Averi!  As if the balloons, the tutu, and the adorable little bum cover weren’t enough, mom brought a giant cupcake for Averi to dive into at the close of the session.  I love when mom and dads are up for anything!

Oh, and had to throw in the John Deere image for Dad…who was mighty proud to see his little angel perched high up there.  :)

Well done, Averi.  Well done!

Alford

Many of my sessions take place locally so I’m always excited to get an out of town session on the books.  I love seeing and exploring new locations.  If you’ve never been to Alford, MA or the surrounding areas, you are missing out.  It is breathtakingly beautiful and I wish I had counted the times I said “wow, wow, wow” while driving out to my clients home.  It just screams peace and serenity…I swear I saw the leaves turn a deeper more gorgeous shade of green with every mile.  As if the location itself wasn’t perfect, my clients themselves could not have been more beautiful.  Both inside and out.  I was actually quite sad to have to wrap up the session and leave them.   I sincerely hope it won’t be the last time I both photograph and enjoy the company of this wonderful family!

Sweet Morgan

I first met Morgan last May and instantly fell in love with her.  So I was beyond excited to see here again a full year later for her two year old shoot.  I couldn’t believe how much she changed in just one short year.  I hardly recognized her…of course until I got up close and saw those amazingly gorgeous doe eyes.  She is spunky, spunky spunky and I loved every moment of photographing her.  I’m so excited to watch their family grow as they introduce a baby sister into the mix this October!

Miss Olivia

Man did I love this kid.  She lit up the moment we began shooting and that irresistible grin hardly left her face.  I could have photographed her for hours!  See for yourself.  :)

That is so classic Olivia…even while being thrown in the air she still manages to hang onto that cookie! That girl loves to eat :) Love all your photos Dania, thanks for sharing her in your blog.

MISS TENLEY

I was delighted when an old, old friend contacted me about booking a bump & baby package for her first born.  She was glowing during the bump session and even more so after she brought home her gorgeous bundle of joy, Tenley.  I enjoyed every moment of catching up with her and finally meeting Miss Tenley, who was never more content than when cuddling close to mom and dad…

ON VACATION

Beginning tomorrow (5am to be exact), I will be on a much anticipated (and much needed) vacation with limited access to email.  I will be returning August 8th and will answer all inquires and emails at that time.  :)

Have a great week all!

BACK BLOGGED

I just popped on my blog to find something and gasped when I realized how far behind I am on blogging my recent (some not as recent!) sessions.  The good news is that business is boomin’ and clients are getting their galleries and orders in a timely fashion!  But that means the bulk of my time is spent shooting, uploading, sorting, editing, finalzing, invoicing, ordering, packaging and shipping…rinse and repeat!  Which means little to no time for blogging.  :(  So I put together just a little blog post with some of the faces you will be seeing as I work harder to fit blogging into my checklist.

I’m officially booking into the fall season now with only a few limited weekday spots left for portrait sessions.  I’ll post a more detailed schedule update this week for those of you who may want to sneak in before the leaves begin to turn once again (I just shivered at the thought)!

Hey Dania, I was just looking at your kidography website and facebook page. It is amazing!
Out of habit, I did a check on the USPTO’s website for “KIDOGRAPHY” as a trademark, and nothing appeared to come up as a conflict check. I’m sure you have probably already thought of this, butyou may want to consider filing a trademark application for the name “KIDOGRAPHY” and/or “KIDOGRAPHY by Dania”. I’m sure Victor and I could give you a hand with this if you would like.

If you do other than ‘babies’, I’d love to hire you to take some family pictures for us one of these days. My youngest is living in Florida right now, and will be home for one week – July 30-August 6th, and then not again until the holidays. Maybe we can set something up? Let me know.

Thanks, and good luck! Nice to see you doing something that you love and enjoy.

LITTLE SEBASTIAN!

I LOVE 4-6 months.  Though it’s funny because I often find myself saying to parents during our session, “5 months is my favorite age!”, “2 is my favorite age!” and after 3-4 sessions of saying this about 3-4 different ages, I realized that I meant it each and every time and that I truly love every age of childhood.  I love the soft skin of a newborn, the wonder in the eyes of a 3 month old, the discovery of sitting up at 4-6 months…I could go on and on.  Sebastian was just learning the art of sitting up at our session last month and it was so fun to watch his parents guide him through the wobbly process…see for yourself!

PARTY OF FIVE

This lovely, lovely family were the lucky winners of my giveaway on Kristi Gustafson’s TU blog, On The Edge.  If you haven’t yet checked it out, it’s a must read!  I have it in my google reader (which if you also don’t use, start now!!) and love when I see one of her posts pop up.

I love exploring new ways to meet families and Kristi’s blog introduced me not only to the winner featured below, but to many more who visited my site and Facebook page in the following days.  So a big, big, BIG thank you to Kristi and her fabulous blog!!

I had so, so, so, so much fun photographing these three.  I often get asked my potential clients if I only do babies and toddlers.  Of course not!  I love working with kids of all ages and each age group brings their own unique fun personality to the session….and I love every second of it!  So if you’re been holding off because you’re afraid your kiddos are getting too old, don’t!  I’ve done all ages up to and including teenagers, and despite their all too often skepticism about all the fun I promise we’re going to have, they find themselves laughing right along with me and having a grand ol’ time.  :)

Now onto the images, which is why you’re really here anyways right?

SWEET ISABELLA

The first two to three weeks in May are some of my favorite weeks out of the whole year to shoot my sessions (providing the rain holds out!).  Everything is in perfect bloom…the cherry blossoms and magnolias are filled with stunning pink blooms that make for some of the most gorgeous backdrops I could ask for.  This day couldn’t have been any more perfect for sweet Isabella’s first professional photo shoot.  Mom and dad are just bursting with pride and love for little Isabella and I think our session captured that just wonderfully.  Till we meet again Isabella!
