Are you a FAAN?

As some of you may know, my oldest daughter Kennedy was recently diagnosed with a peanut and tree nut allergy which has, at the risk of sounding dramatic, turned our world upside down.  It wasn’t long after her diagnosis that we were introduced to a wonderful organization,  The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) whose mission is to raise public awareness, provide advocacy and education, and to advance research on behalf of all those affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis.  They have been a wealth of information and support as we’ve had to quickly learn to live with this potentially life threatening allergy.

FAAN holds an annual walk at the Crossings in Colonie and this year, our family has signed up to help raise money for the cause.  You can visit Kennedy’s page here to see how far we’ve already come.  How can you help?  I’m going to make it quite simple actually.   For all sessions that take place in August and September, I will be donating 10% of all Kidography print orders to FAAN.  So if you have been sitting the fence on booking a session or just haven’t gotten around to it, there is no better time.  The weather is beautiful, only a few weeks remain {gasp} before the school year begins, and what better way to end a fantastic summer than supporting an organization that helps millions of children.
